About Essex Pride

Essex Pride is an annual celebration of LGBTQ+ life in Essex and beyond. Establishing itself since it began in 2004 as a cornerstone event showcasing Essex’s successful approach to diversity and inclusion,

This is an event for the whole community, and its more than just a huge party. Pride inspires everyone to embrace equality, and demonstrates that people from all walks of life can join together and celebrate diversity.

Key Essex Pride 2026 Timings

• 10:00am You are invited to take part in the Free Pride March: Arrive at Chelmsford Theatre (Marconi Plaza)
The theatre is open for ticket purchase, wristband collection, refreshments and facilities

• 11:30 am The march departs from Chelmsford Theatre – Fairfield Road CM1 1JG

• The Central Park Pride Festival runs from 12pm to 10:00pm

This is a ticketed event.
Last Entry to park 8:30pm.
Live acts on Festival Stage from 12:00pm to 9:30pm
Live acts on Cabaret stage from 12:30pm to 6:15pm.

Essex Pride is a not for profit registered charity, run on behalf of the LGBTQ+ community of Essex by a volunteer board of Trustees. All proceeds from ticketing and fundraising go towards the operational and running costs of Essex Pride.
